CFMG Capital attends SMSF Association National Conference

CFMG Capital opted in as valued sponsors of the 2019 SMSF Association National Conference in 2019, for a busy 3 days of networking and learning at this fantastic event. Given over 85% of the investments in the CFMG Capital investment opportunities have come via SMSF Trustees, it was a natural progression to take part in this industry event, taking the opportunity to enhance technical knowledge, assess various service opportunities and provide education to industry stakeholders about the CFMG Land & Opportunity Fund.

General Manager, Andrew Thomson spent 3 days at the event and found the experience invaluable on a variety of fronts both privately and professionally.

“I really enjoyed the conference for a variety of reasons. Not least because it gave me the opportunity to speak directly with a number of advisers about our business and the opportunities we can provide for their clients, but I also enjoyed networking with lawyers, auditors, accountants and other service providers in the SMSF industry about the various challenges and opportunities in the field.

As an SMSF trustee myself, I also thoroughly enjoyed touring the exhibition hall to learn and consider the various other investment opportunities open to me via my SMSF in addition to my investments directly in CFMG Capital.

Further to that, I attended a few of the sessions on offer and found the presenters insightful and knowledgeable about their topics, and the audiences to be strongly engaged by the subject matter.

I’ll definitely be pencilling in next years conference into my diary” he said.

With over 1,500 delegates at the event made up of a variety of professions relevant to the SMSF industry, it was a great opportunity for CFMG Capital to build on the existing growth in the business. With a 10 year history and a very strong track record of delivering quality returns, the positive feedback from the intermediary network was very strong in relation to the CFMG Land & Opportunity Fund as a potential inclusion in their client portfolios.
