2019 SMSF Trustee Empowerment Days - Melbourne, Sydney & Gold Coast

Over the past two weeks, our General Manager Andrew Thomson was pleased to attend the SMSF Trustee Empowerment Days in Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast, speaking with hundreds of attendees and also giving a presentation at each event about how property developers operate through various market cycles to continually generate positive returns.  Andrew spoke about due diligence processes, how CFMG Capital assess opportunities and why market cycles are just a small part of that overall process.

Andrew said: “This was my second consecutive year presenting at these events and then spending the day speaking with the attendees in a more informal setting.  Like last year, I thoroughly enjoyed these days and this year especially it was good to again connect with attendees from 2018, other speakers and of course the many existing CFMG Capital investors who either attended last year and subsequently invested, or accepted my invitation to the event. Of course plenty of new connections were also made and I look forward to engaging with all of these interested parties in coming months”.

These events are designed as educational seminars where several speakers are invited to present on a range of topics. These include ATO regulatory updates, estate planning, product discussion and much more.  They say knowledge is power and never has that statement been more accurate for SMSF trustees. In the current investment environment, investors are having to maximise returns in a challenging low interest rate environment.

Attending SMSF Trustee Empowerment Day gives trustees the knowledge they need to navigate their way through these challenging times as their own superannuation fund manager.

“I found the attendees to be a very knowledgeable and engaged audience, which was reflected in the many and varied questions I fielded both at the conclusion of my presentations, but also throughout the day” he said.
