Giving back to the community
The team at CFMG Capital empower local groups, businesses and charities with the support they need to provide programs, resources and education to help those in need and contribute to building thriving communities.
Charity Activities
Meals On Wheels
The CFMG Capital team have been participating in Meals on Wheels deliveries for over 4 years now. Each month, two CFMG Capital team members volunteer to deliver meals to vulnerable members of the community.
Meals on Wheels volunteers support well-nourished and independent communities through the delivery of nutritious meals, social connection and wellbeing checks. Through the ongoing uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, to devastating bushfires and other crises, Meals on Wheels is an essential service that continues to step up and support vulnerable members of a community at a time where it is needed most.
World’s Biggest Morning Tea
Each year the CFMG Capital team host a morning tea to support Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to raise vital funds for the Cancer Council.
While the team can get quite competitive with their baking skills, the donations are generous to support this worthwhile charity.
The Cancer Council is Australia’s leading cancer charity and work across every aspect of every cancer. Everyday they support people impacted by cancer when they need it most, speak out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empower people to reduce their cancer risk, and find new ways to better detect and treat cancer.
Vinnies CEO Sleepout
Scott and Andrew have taken part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout each year since 2018 to raise funds for people experiencing homelessness.
Through the CEO sleepout event, Vinnies raises money to provide people experiencing homelessness and people at risk of homelessness with vital access to food and accommodation. They also provide education, counselling, employment and health services to help people overcome poverty in the long term.
Jeans for Genes
The competition is high amongst the CFMG Capital team trying to outdo each other with double denim or triple denim outfits on Jeans for Genes Day in the office. The team donate through the Jeans for Genes fundraiser each year to help the scientists at Children’s Medical Research Institute find cures for kids with genetic diseases.
For over 64 years, the Children’s Medical Research Institute has helped improve the health of children. They helped eliminate rubella, introduced care for premature infants and development microsurgery techniques for organ transplants that save lives every day. The Jeans for Genes donations go towards ground-breaking research into birth defects, stem cells and more.
Foodbank
CFMG Capital fundraise for Foodbank to help Australia’s largest food relief organisation support the work of the front-line charities who are feeding vulnerable Australians.
Last year, Foodbank sourced the equivalent of 86.7 million meals for their 2,950 charity partners, providing food relief to more than a million people each month. They make a positive difference in the lives of Australians, with recipients of food and grocery relief reporting they feel less hungry, are able to focus and concentrate, are less stressed and more hopeful.
Cooking For A Cause with OzHarvest
The CFMG Capital team enjoy donning the yellow aprons and getting hands on with the OzHarvest chefs and volunteers to support their Cooking for a Cause program.
The program teaches zero-waste cooking skills while transforming rescued ingredients into gourmet meals to support vulnerable communities. After creating delicious and nutritious meals, teams help pack the food ready for OzHarvest to deliver to local charities.
Sh!tbox Rally
CFMG Capital support the Cancer Council’s Sh!tbox Rally to raise vital funding for ground-breaking cancer research projects.
The Rally is a tri-annual event that involves driving cars worth just $1,500 across Australia via some of its formidable roads all in the name of charity. While we are yet to enter a CFMG Capital car into the competition, we proudly support the events and the Cancer Council.
